Bolivar Lighthouse stands alone at the entrance to the Ship Chanel that leads to Port of Houston. Built 100 years ago, a long overdue renovation is underway by a local historic foundation. Crossing on the ferry to Bolivar, the lone silhouette is visible for miles. At sunset it glows against the darkening sky.
