20x16 in ~ Painting, Acrylic, Oil, Collages
The ancient story of the Isrealites crossing the Red Sea and arriving in the Promised Land inspired this painting. It reminds me of a time of personal exodus from a dangerous situation where I unexpectedly arrived in a safe place. We probably all have a personal exodus of some kind where we made a difficult decision to survive. I, for one, am grateful that I survived and even thrived. May this painting encourage you to make the right decision.
Collaged with bits of deconstructed jewelry including symbolic chains in a symbolic wave of change thrusting the viewer into the focal point of hope and light.
