12x16 in ~ Painting, Oil
Waking early on the Seawall in Galveston Tx, I opened my door to a wall of white fog rolling in. No people, no cars, little sound. Just a blanket of white creeping over the entire jetty across the street. I scrambled to set up my easel, still in my fuzzy red robe.
Monet told us painters that light changes every seven minutes but I think it's much faster, especially when the sun first sneaks over the horizon.
I struggled to capture the scene and the mood...the quiet lonely feeling, only three people on the jetty and the glorious light.
